Draft Decree Amending and Supplementing Certain Provisions of Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018, of the Government, Detailing the Implementation of Certain Articles of the Law on Food Safety
Pursuant to the directives set forth in Official Dispatch No. 704/VPCP-KGVX dated January 24, 2025, from the Government Office regarding the application of the expedited procedure, the Ministry of Health is the lead agency responsible for drafting the Decree amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP, which details the implementation of certain articles of the Law on Food Safety (hereinafter referred to as the Draft Amendment to Decree 15).
According to the Drafting Committee, several provisions in the current decree have become inconsistent with the present circumstances and require urgent amendments and supplements. The key areas of revision include administrative procedure reform, decentralization of management authority, and strengthening post-market surveillance to enhance food quality. These amendments will have a direct impact on businesses.
