The cough syrup which has not been registered for circulation in VietNam have recently been warned by WHO for toxicity

On December 13, the Drug Administration of Vietnam under the Ministry of Health announced the presence of certain cough syrups and toxic solutions manufactured by Pharmix Laboratories (Pakistan) and distributed in some countries and regions recently warned by the World Health Organization (WHO).

According to the WHO, some types of medications and syrups containing active ingredients used to treat certain medical conditions are problematic due to exceeding the permissible level of ethylene glycol. The WHO has cautioned that these substandard products are unsafe, and their use, especially in children, may lead to severe injuries or fatalities.
