Official dispatch No. 15/BYT-TB-CT: Implementation of the Government’s Decree No. 169/2018/ND-CP dated December 31, 2018.

On December 31, 2018, the government issued Decree No. 169/2018/ND-CP to amend and supplement Decree No. 36/2016/ND-CP on the Management of Medical . Aimed at addressing challenges and promoting the implementation process for enterprises and units involved in importing, manufacturing, and trading medical. The Ministry of Health has issued an official dispatch providing guidance on the implementation of the new decree.

Below are the key points highlighted in these official documents:

1. Import licenses for medical equipment of Types B, C, D issued in 2018 are valid until December 31, 2019. Import licenses for medical equipment of Type BCD issued in 2019 will be extended until December 31, 2019.

2. The circulation numbers for medical equipment of Types B, C, D, according to Decree No. 36/2016/ND-CP, will have their application period extended to January 1, 2020.
