Decree 154/2018/NĐ-CP: Amending, supplementing and repealing certain regulations on investment and business conditions in sectors under management of ministry of science and technology and certain regulations on specialized inspections

Decree No. 154/2018/ND-CP, issued by the Government on November 9, 2018, amended and supplemented the conditions for the operation of organizations providing inspection, calibration, and testing services.

Accordingly, one of the new conditions that organizations providing inspection, calibration, and testing services must meet in order to operate is:

They must have at least 01 technically qualified employee for each field of activity (the previous regulation required 02 employees) meeting the following requirements:

+ Graduated from vocational school or equivalent (No longer required to be a civil servant or contract worker with a term of 12 months or more);

+ Completed training courses in inspection, calibration, and testing corresponding to the field of activity and according to the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

In addition, Decree No. 154/2018/ND-CP (effective from the date of signing) also repeals Decree No. 87/2016/ND-CP regarding the conditions for doing business in helmet sales for motorcyclists and motorbike users.
